When: Three separate training workshops on Nature's Network will be held in succession during the last week of June:

- Tuesday, June 27th, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

- Wednesday, June 28th, 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (afternoon only)

- Thursday, June 29th, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Purpose: To help agency staff and conservation partners understand the diversity of valuable conservation science available in our region, with a focus on the use and application of Nature’s Network tools and how that information can be accessed to identify priorities and address data needs.

Who should attend: The workshops are intended to serve a range of agency staff and conservation partners engaged in planning and implementing conservation activities, including tech-savvy biologists and program managers; planners or administrators that help the agency describe priority places for acquisition, conservation, or restoration; and GIS staff.

Desired outcome: Participants will leave the workshop with an ability to use new GIS resources to efficiently locate opportunities for conservation. Once implemented, such conservation actions will have an enhanced likelihood of success, since they will benefit from advanced screening and being positioned within a regional network of habitats.

Logistics: Participants are expected to cover their own expenses for travel, lodging, and food. The Marriott and Holiday Inn are located nearby and typically offer government rates to travelers.

Registration: Please contact Bridget Macdonald () to register or request additional information.
