Workshop connects partners to connect aquatic systems across two LCC regions

The North Atlantic and Upper Midwest and Great Lakes LCCs are helping transportation and natural resource professionals work together to improve human safety and wildlife habitat by thinking strategically about upgrades to road/stream crossings.

More than 40 partners from academic, governmental, and non-profit sectors came together in January at an designed to identify common strategies for improving the flow of roads and rivers on behalf of human safety and aquatic habitat. Convened by the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes and North Atlantic Landscape Conservation Cooperatives (LCCs) theĀ Aquatic Habitat Connectivity and Infrastructure Resilience Workshopis a case-in-point for how LCCs are helping to foster unique partnerships to address landscape-scale conservation challenges.
